AMANDA M. RUE

AMANDA RUE, LCSW, MSW, CADC
AREAS OF INTEREST:
Assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Special interests include co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, women's concerns, self-esteem, life transitions, depression and anxiety, communication (parent-child/couples), PTSD, and grief and loss issues. Treatment focuses are on motivational enhancement (substance use disorders), and cognitive-behavioral approaches.
EDUCATION:
Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work with an emphasis on clinical work with children and families from New York University (NYU).
Bachelors Degree in Social Work from University of Iowa.
Certified by the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
EXPERIENCE:
Varied experiences as a helping professional in child welfare, AODA assessment and counseling, and mental health settings. Enjoys working with individuals and groups of all ages.
