ELIZABETH JOHNSON, MSW, LCSW

AREAS OF INTREST:

        Assessment and treatment of adults and teens struggling with depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders.  Special interest in women’s issues including adult survivors of abuse and domestic violence, stress management, self-esteem, divorce adjustment, and other life transitions.  Strong interest in the healing power of animals including the use of horses for mental health therapy known as Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP).

EDUCATION:

        Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  Certified by the State of Wisconsin as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

EXPERIENCE:

        Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings providing both individual and group therapy.

        I believe in the strength and resiliency of the human spirit and consider it a privilege to empower clients to overcome personal barriers in order to grow, change and have hope for the future.
