AREAS OF INTEREST:

      Substance abuse assessment, treatment, and education for adolescents, adults and families.  Primary therapeutic orientations include motivational enhancement, community reinforcement, and cognitive behavioral approaches.  Interested in facilitating the development of motivation and skills to achieve psychological, behavioral and spiritual goals.

EXPERIENCE:

Over 7 years experience working with adolescents with mental health issues in residential and outpatient settings, as well as 4 years of experience as a high needs treatment foster parent.

Over 3 years experience working with adults, adolescents, and families dealing with substance abuse in residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care.

PERSONAL INFORMATION:

Married with three children, and fostered 11 high needs foster children.  Grew up on a ranch in North Dakota, and currently resides in Wauwatosa.
