AREAS OF INTREST:

        Assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults.  Special interest in mental health issues for children/adolescents, including:  school related issues, at-risk behaviors, attention deficit disorder, trauma, depression, anxiety, learning problems, bullying, self-esteem, and anger management issues.  Specialty areas with adults and families include parenting, parent-child relationships, separation/divorce, blended families, mood disorders, anger management, and anxiety disorders.  Treatment focus is cognitive behavioral with a strength-based approach.

        Masters Degree, Community Counseling, The George Washington University, Washington DC, 1998.

        Bachelors Degree, Psychology, St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN, 1994. 

        Certified by the State of Wisconsin as a Professional Counselor.

        Post Graduate training in trauma informed care, mental health issues in the school, special education law, and sensory integration.

Experience:

        Over 10 years of experience as a therapist in a variety of settings including school-based, residential and day treatment, inpatient, and outpatient working with children, adolescents, and adults.
